Within the WP 1 "study of the contexts: territorial isolation in the dairy chain actors - elaborating the common interface to allow the access to the network".
Methodologies for work have been elaborated within the partnership with the purpose of directing development of research within the territories involved.
The objective intended to identify typologies of traditional historical cheeses produced with raw milk, to study them and to define the specific characteristics linked to the areas of production and the safety of the products.
The scientific search has been done by professional researchers coming from the participating countries, who have been able to verify and to scientifically show the bond that exists between place and historical traditional cheese made with raw milk. 10. Transnational editing of a survey questionnaire for census of the manufacturing farms, and of the selected traditional historical cheeses;
11. The census and administration of questionnaires to 300 farms in the territory of the Archimed area; (CoRFiLaC n. 40);
12. Activity of sampling, in farms, for 230 units of cheese from selected farms of the Archimed area;
13. Laboratory tests conducted by Chemical-physical, gas-chromatographic and sensory analyses (panel) on cheeses on samples from farms in the territory; (CoRFiLaC n. 40);
14. Elaboration, study, development and commentary of the microbiological analyses conducted on the samples of cheese;
15. Development and implementation of an intranet network inside the partnership for the loading of relative data of the selected farms;

WP 2 Within the WP 2 "Accessing to the knowledge and the Information society" activities of promotion.
The results of the project have been implemented with the principal objective to create a network, and to organise the institutional subjects responsible for dairy processes, and to spread awareness and knowledge of the benefits and the value of the consumption of the cheeses produced with raw milk.
Communication has been provided to the institutional subjects responsible for agricultural politics in the participating countries, including from the data from the scientific research conducted by the partnership.
To underline the health aspects, the added value of the cheeses produced with raw milk that reflect the origins of a people and the historical traditions.

PROJECT RESULTS ACHIEVED IN THE FRAME OF T-CHEESE.MED1. Organisation and participation, in the involved territories, for meetings and technical conferences, with institutional representatives and civil societies concerning the theme of the cheeses produced with raw milk in the Archimed area and of the activities of the T-Cheese.Med project; (CORFILAC n. 03);
2. study, elaboration, production and diffusion of 4 versions of a news letter to inform the respective beneficiaries of the project (manufactures of historical cheese and the institutional subjects) concerning the activities of the project and the diffusion of the scientific results of the analyses conducted on cheeses produced with raw milk.
3. elaboration of an advertising campaign with national press by periodic articles concerning the results reached in the project;
4. activity of interinstitutional coordination with other public subjects to guarantee the maximum results of the project in Sicily;
5. study, planning and realisation of information for touristic use.

WP 3 Within the WP 3 "Applying to model for strengthening the dairy chain: on line services and e-commerce" .
All the necessary activities have been verified and performed for the experimental phase of the project T-cheese.Med whose basic idea is the conviction that new computer technologies ICT's are essential to support the dairy process through a multidimensional approach. The scientific research, well performed with technological methods has produced important results, and it has used the internet and its applications to spread information on the cheeses produced with raw milk in the Archimed area.
Through the realisation of a portal web - www.cheesemed.eu - on line most additional information has been drawn during the execution of the project. A valid data base, recording the geographical location of the producers censussed in the participating territories, are able to report valid information about the history of the farms, the typologies of cheese produced, the satellite map around the locations of the dairies, contacts of the responsible people, etc. The internet site has been interfaced with one digital "store" for the e-Commerce concerning the sales of some types of cheese.
With the purpose to testing the experimental service of e-Commerce, it was necessary to select some farms from those censussed. The cheeses produced by the selected farms have been stored for the sale on line through a marketplace system. The same farms have been included in a promotional circuit.
The phase of experimentation has also concerned the installation in some municipalities of the participating territories, of access points to the T-Cheese.Med net through the installation of personal computers.
One of the unexpected results are the interest of the producers in the involved areas, that have had the possibility, for those living in remote and isolated areas of the territory, to have access to the internet and to use the computers to exchange and to recover information. Currently in the whole territory around 40 computers have been distributed to public corporate body and associations and freely avalaible for use by the T-Cheese.Med producers.

WP 4
Within the WP 4 "Experiences exchange and follow up of the project" of the project all the necessary activities have been considered to guarantee the follow up of the project. For this purpose, the organisation of the first international conference on the historical traditional cheeses in the Archimed area has been made. The event is regularly developed in Greece and workers from the scientific and academic world of the whole Mediterranean have participated.
Further activity is the organisation of the final conference of the Committee of the Regions of Bruxelles where the whole partnership of the project will have the occasion to bring most important results within the T-cheese.Med project to the members of European Commission.
Because of the new planning 2007- 2013 a synthesis has been done in order to evaluate the whole project including the proposal action with the purpose of defining the strategies of follow up.
